Earlier this week, the Newman Centre Catholic Mission at the University of Toronto hosted a fascinating discussion about what our current scientific knowledge of the universe says about the existence of God. And you can now watch the video of the lecture online.

The esteemed scientist, Fr. Robert J. Spitzer, provides a compelling argument that the probability of our universe coming to be by pure chance is exceedingly miniscule and that scenario would, in fact, require special explanations. Science shows us that there is a much greater likelihood that we are the creation of a transcendent intelligence.

Fr. Robert is a Jesuit priest, the president of the Magis Center of Reason and Faith, the president of Spitzer Center, the host of EWTN’s “Father Spitzer’s Universe” and the past president of Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington.
