Our Lenten Journey

Ash Wednesday – Beginning Our Lenten Journey     

Ash Wednesday, February 18th,  marks the beginning of the holy season of Lent, a time of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving as we prepare our hearts for the celebration of Easter. During the Ash Wednesday liturgy, the faithful receive ashes on their foreheads as a sign of repentance and a reminder of our call to turn away from sin and embrace the Gospel.

Lent is a season of reflection, sacrifice, and renewal. We encourage all parishioners to enter this time with open hearts—seeking reconciliation, strengthening their prayer life, and offering acts of charity to those in need. May this sacred season draw us closer to Christ and to one another as a community of faith.
